Trek Larapinta Trip Advisor Reviews

Thanks to our guests who have shared their fantastic Trek Larapinta experiences on Trip Advisor recently:

Trek Larapinta was a terrific company to go with – the company genuinely walks the talk in every way; sustainability, care for the environment and treatment of the staff. The trek was excellent value for money – we had 10 walkers, 3 professional guides and a work experience guide. The guides listened carefully and tactfully to the group members and met our requirements – so everything was smooth and easy. Oh, they are also endlessly patient and didn’t mind reiterating details until we all understood. I thought the tracks were very well formed and graded (not many big step ups) but the key to walking this country is managing dehydration and exposure to the sun and having guides helps enormously. All the camping gear was brand new and of excellent quality – no gripes from me about not having to pay extra for single tent use or a swag with Trek Larapinta, as I have experienced with other companies. We had great fun, got pushed out of comfort zones and learnt heaps. I’d walk with this company again in a heartbeat.

Wendy (6 day trek) – June 2013

As a Kiwi who likes walking and wanted to learn more about outback Australia I chose the 16-day Trek Larapinta. I was one of seven walking with Trek Larapinta, whose guides are professional and caring. This is not an easy walk, the terrain is very rocky and at times I felt I was on a rock climbing expedition rather than a walking adventure. With no pressure to hurry, there was time to take in the magnificent scenery and enjoy the wild flowers and trees. The knowledgeable guides discuss places of interest and they enhanced our understanding of life in the outback. Sleeping in a swag under the stars was a wonderful experience. And I could pull my swag into the tent nearby when it rained. And we experienced one of the most amazing thunder storms – the rocks literally cracked with the force. Gourmet meals were prepared by our guides in either the camp oven or the gas cooker. And creating different evening meals and lunches for 16 days is an art in itself. If you are fit and want a different walking experience explore what Trek Larapinta has to offer; there will be an adventure of a lifetime for you.

Colleen (16 day End to End trek) – June 2014

The company delivered everything they promised and much more. The walks were unobtrusively guided to suit the party but with plenty of input from our guide to explain the geology and landscape. The walk locations were varied so we finished the 9 days with a good picture of the whole West MacDonnell Range. Camps were very comfortable but managed with considerable sensitivity to the environment. Meals were magnificent. I shall be looking for more walks with this company.

Murray (9 day trek) – June 2014
