Our marquee provides a sheltered and focussed place to work   Sonja is comfortably set up under a river gum

Jane tells us about her days work Penny writes from a vantage point Maggie sketches in Redbank Gorge Peter finds a passionate angle

Experimentation takes many forms as we 'play' with new approaches   ....and rediscover some old favourites

On the seventh day Graham creates the solar system...   and Charlie opens our Exhibition in the Marquee on Finke

Putting up our exhibition in the marquee creates a sense of completion to the week and so did the following poem written by the group on the last night of the July 06 camp... each person wrote their part without seeimg the preceeding lines. ( I've done a minor edit by creating the stanzas)

Our makings hang in makeshift gallery,
as we make our places by the fire.
Ancient aeons aged land,
Creativity, colour, camping, collaboration.
Undulating, soft soft ochre, torn and blended.

Strangers a week ago are now bonded forever.
Ghost river flows like wind through the trees
'I love Flo' marks the site where fleeting loves met.
Lhere Pernte flows along.
And let them eat hot porridge.

What more, or else.
Passing on is what we do.
Eucalyptus leaves waving, flames flickering,
Larapinta horizon merging into dusk
Its a long walk, five minutes ago
