About this tour »
There is no better way of experiencing the desert ranges of Central Australia than walking on the Larapinta Trail. Extending 223 km from Alice Springs to Mt Sonder, the Trail takes in the special wild places of this ancient and fascinating landscape.
Our tour is a unique End2End experience. The 20 day timeframe allows you time to enjoy the scenery, plants and wildlife without feeling physically rushed through the landscape.
Also, our tour is fully supported. You enjoy delicious campfire cooking, bottled wine, real coffee and cosy swags.
Our End2End also includes walking some of the longer sections over two days, carrying an overnight pack. While the guide carries most of the catering gear, you can enjoy this added experience of being mostly self-sufficient, enabing you to experience some of the remote trail camps, walk along ridge-tops, watch the sun light up this ancient land. These are some of the most rewarding camp sites on the Trail. It is a delight to take you there.

A word from your guide »

These desert ranges are a special place for us. After six years of walking on the Larapinta Trail, it just becomes more profound. I feel a strong sense of humility, and I want to learn more and spend more time in the landscape that the Trail takes you to.
For me, 20 days is the best time-frame to walk the whole trail and have a personal experience with the place. This is our longest trip, and the longest End2End trip you'll find. We keep it this long because we don't want you to feel rushed, and we want to try and share our love of it with you. It's a privilege to live, walk and share this experience.
Shane Fewtrell, owner and guide.

Grade of End2End: challenging »
Download the trip itinenary for detailed information on health, fitness and preparation.
And consider these three points in regard to the grading of this tour:
One: Twenty days in the bush with a small group requires a good degree of mental stamina. Although we come together as individuals, we share the experience as a group. Our guides take care of your needs and are always available to talk to, but you will also need to show consideration for your fellow walkers (and guides) for the duration of the tour.
Two: Physical preparation is paramount for this tour. But with the right preparation, you will be able to fully enjoy this tour: even if you haven't walked with an overnight pack before. Just download the trip intinerary for more information about how to prepare, and contact Shane with any further questions you might have.
Three: We can't stress the importance of having your body, equipment and health in good shape. We are experienced guides, and we do take our time. We just want you to have the best experience possible, and part of that is about your preparation for this once in a lifetime journey.
Feel free to email us to talk more about being prepared for your holiday.
Another possibility: Trek Larapinta also offers the End2End divided in half, so that you can walk the whole Larapinta Trail in sequence, but complete the two halves 'All In Good Time'. If this sounds like a good fit for you, perhaps you could consider our End2End: All in Good Time tour.
